Please be aware that the following guidelines apply to requests for document packages:
This request must be requested by the owner-seller or Seller Agent. Signed and faxed copies are acceptable.
The documents will be ready within fourteen (14) days of the date that the owner-signed request is received. While we will make every attempt to prepare this information promptly, we cannot ensure delivery in less than the 14-day time frame.
Packages can be picked up at the office of Brooks Real Estate, Inc. 312-B Lightfoot Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call in advance for holiday hours.
The fee for Disclosure Packages / Resale Certificates are:
- $250 for required Property Inspection and two (2) copies of the disclosure packet in hard copy
- $225 for required Property Inspection and two (2) copies of the disclosure packet in electronic form
- $250 for required Property Inspection and one (1) hard copy and one electronic copy
- $50 for an expedite fee (five (5) days)
- $25 for an additional hard copy
- $50 for post-closing fee (New home owner's account set-up fee)
- $50 for an update, delivered within ten (10) days of a written request
- Actual cost of a commercial delivery service for hand delivery
Payment Options
In the Commonwealth of Virginia, you have the option to pay for these documents using the "Virginia Deferred" payment method. By choosing this payment method, you are stating that you have the authority to place this order on behalf of the unit/home owner, and you understand it is incumbent upon you to notify the seller of this obligation. This order will be processed and the fee(s) for this order will be the obligation of the property owner and shall be an assessment against the property and collectible as any other assessment in accordance with the provisions of the declaration and §55-516, if not paid at settlement or within 45 days of the delivery of the disclosure packet, whichever occurs first.
