After graduating from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Economics, she went on to work for the United States Army in Germany as a Contracting Specialist for supplies and services for four military bases. After moving to Newport News Virginia in 1996 and working as a project analyst for an international manufacturing firm in York County, Janice became involved in commercial sales and leasing for her employer and after 2 years of real estate experience in this capacity joined CB Richard Ellis in Norfolk Virginia.
She is has been with Brooks Real Estate since 2003 and is responsible for the leasing of 15 to 20 commercial properties totaling over 400,000 square feet at any given time. Focus areas include Williamsburg, James City County, Newport News and New Kent County, and the properties include warehouse space and retail and office complexes. Janice also has years of experience in tenant representation.
Janice is also active in both Buyer and Seller representation offering full service from market search and comparisons to successfully closing purchase agreements.
Janice currently serves on the Armed Services Committee with the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Alliance and is co-chairperson on the Veteran's Support Team. She also serves on the Architectural Review Board for the Kiln Creek Professional and Business Association. She believes in working closely with all municipal and civic organization to increase her skills and knowledge of the key issues and people in her community. As and individual and part of the Brooks Real Estate Team, Janice regularly donates time and resources to raising money for local charities and benefits to include, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Avalon, Adopt a Foster Child for Christmas, and Salvation Army
Janice believes in working closely with all parties to insure satisfaction in a smooth and successful transaction. Her knowledge and experience in the wider business environment allows her to meet her clients and customers real estate needs as well as help them to succeed with their overall business objectives.
